I don’t think it has very widespread popularity at all. Who knows, it may be more popular among certain types of whites.
Whites trying to hook up with blacks without knowing a damned thing about them except that they want to hook up with one. That’s my guess. Cannot begin to guess what the response to this sort of come-on would be. I’m an incurable honky without a clue. Can’t jump. No rhythm. Don’t look for hook-ups, happily married for 37 years and counting.
