If this is anywhere near the truth, the Deep State will want to offer some kind of compromise to Mr. Trump.
They have to be aware of the many Americans who still see Trump as their leader.
But they will find it hard to come up with anything this president wants other than to do his second term of the presidency.
It would be a Faustian sort of bargain.

This is what they are saying to Trump:
If you don’t go quietly, we will imprison you, your children, your grandchildren. We will take away all your possessions and bankrupt your entire family. We will ruin your reputation even more than we already have. There will be no peace for your family ever. One way or another we will eliminate anyone who shows support for you. We will tear down the nation’s infrastructure and use Antifa/BLM to attack the people.
Their threats will become more and more strident as time passes. They will demand that he leave now and will hold those threats over his head.
