President Donald Trump has urged Congress to increase the amount of the direct relief payments to Americans to $2,000 by cutting out the unrelated pork in the coronavirus rescue package and government spending bill. Breitbart News has calculated how much that increase would cost and what could be cut from the 5,593-page omnibus bill to offset it.

The House and Senate passed the combined $900 billion coronavirus relief package and $1.4 trillion government spending bill on Monday night, but the massive 5,593-page omnibus bill immediately drew criticism for sending billions of dollars of aid to foreign countries while only allotting $600 relief checks for Americans.

Raising tariffs to pay for it. Tariffs increase revenue and promotes domestic industry. WIN - WIN - WIN.

"Dear American Taxpayer:

In lieu of a Coronavirus stimulus check, we have made a donation to the following countries in your name. Merry Christmas!

Signed,
Nancy Pelosi"

Did President Trump not already veto the Swinebill, and now it’s moot?

If so, with Peloony’s seeming agreement to a $2,000 individual and $4,000 to couples stimulus payment (”Let’s do it!), will she again try to attach the former Swinebill trichinosis plague?

It’s just not spending money you don’t have. It’s not saving anything.

No, not really.

Pelosi wanted unanimous consent without a recorded vote, and no accounting of what the bill actually was.

It was a blank check.

The Repubs were correct not to agree to that.

I should say, that is my understanding of it.

The Republicans refused to do it by unanimous consent.

Quick math

Porkulus bill cost: $900 B
Population of US: 330 M

So the rat bastard Congress packs together every piece of pork they can lay their hands on, generates a 5,000 page “bill” costing every man, woman, and child in the US $2,727 and they toss back $600 to you for their theft.

It was a blessing Pres. Trump did not sign this insane bill. It is a bill representative of the extraction of wealth from US tax payers and the transfer of that wealth to the politically connected.

The bill is theft masquerading as relief.

Divided by 330MM Americans, that's about $600 each!

What I find completely ridiculous in this is, is that they're talking about cutting back on the pork to "pay" for increasing the payments. How, exactly, does not spending as much money count as any kind of cut? They're 'cutting' the crazy bonus spending free-for-all, not actually cutting the budget or anything!

President Trump is an “America First” President!

Until this Chinese Communist Coronavirus problem is solved, ALL federal expenditures should be FOR AMERICA AND AMERICANS ONLY!

I say that we should end all foreign aid until we have our own country’s economic situation under control!

WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, AGAIN!

And then, give some thought to saving the rest of the world.

$600 to every citizen is about 190 billion. $2000 is about 640 billion. Screw the pork and save 160 billion.

Or better yet, open up the economy and quit the flu fear.

Congress is not capable of puling together enough votes on anything without loading tons of pork to buy off individual legislators. Sorry, but it is true.

They have no concept of doing what is right for the Country.
