The courthouse is blocks away. There’s nothing there.

Restaurants nearby...some have been there for decades. This is mostly an entertainment zone. Some people live in the upper levels of these historic buildings and they’ve all been evacuated. Almost all of the buildings on this stretch are over 100 years old.

Yeah most of the building in this area are old 4-5 story building, I could see some one wanting to get rid of a few blocks of these old building to building a bunch of sky scrapers, or something like a gambling casino, or some small amusement park, anything for some crooked person to pocket a bunch of money while blaming some deplorable.
