Georgia Judge Denies GOP Lawsuit on Drop Boxes, Says State Has Immunity

A judge from Fulton County which includes Atlanta has dismissed a lawsuit by the Republican Party seeking to limit the use of voter drop boxes for Georgia’s two U.S. Senate runoff races saying the state has immunity from being sued, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday. Superior Court Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams ruled she doesn’t have jurisdiction because of sovereign immunity that protects governments from lawsuits, the Journal-Constitution said. Republicans had argued that drop boxes should be limited to the same hours as county election offices, which typically close at 5 p.m. on weekdays. But an attorney for the Georgia secretary of state’s office said the state election board approved the boxes to be used at all hours.

Famed attorney Lin Wood sued the Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in November claiming that he unlawfully changed election law in March to settle a lawsuit by Georgia Democrats, something he said the state constitution expressly grants to the legislature. Incumbent Republicans Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue are facing Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in Jan. 5 runoffs after none of the candidates received more than 50% of the vote. While Perdue received only a few thousand votes shy of the 50% threshold, Warnock led Loeffler 33% to 26%. However, Loeffler and fellow Republican Doug Collins, plus four other Republicans in a race with 20 candidates, received a combined 49.3% of the vote compared to about 48.4% for Warnock and the next seven Democrats.

How does this 'judge' keep a membership in the BAR Association?

He pays for the happy hour customers drinks?

"What, no BLM face mask?"

With a face like that, more's the pity.

OK, just so I understand the recent judicial rulings. Most anyone who sues over an election really has no standing to sue. If you sue after an election, you are told you are suing too late. If you sue before an election, you are told you haven’t been ‘injured’ and thus have to basis to sue. And if you sue while an election is underway, you are told the state has ‘immunity’. Have I missed any?

States may enjoy immunity from being sued for DAMAGES (they have a different process for that), but I doubt that applies to injunctive relief or if someone is trying to force them to comply with the LAW. Hey judge: C’mon man!

Obviously, someone knows where these violation voting boxes are located.

Remove them.

Does anyone have the number and or location of said boxes?

No lawful law enforcement in Georgia.

No lawful law enforcement in most of USA.

No lawful government.

Politics is not law. Law is words written on paper by legislators and passed by both house and signed by executive.

Voting is not actually political operations free for all. The process must adhere to law. It is fundamental to our whole government.

Judges who will not rule based upon law deserve hard prison. If their actions destroy government function, they should be hung as High Criminals.

If the State is exempt then no one has standing, so the local Dem deep-staters can continue on doing illegal things legally. No standing? This can’t be allowed to “stand”. People need to be jailed.

“No Standing.” “Too late, Latches.” “Don’t have jurisdiction.”

There’s no limit to the excuses these judges can come up with for Trump’s lawsuits, but sue to overturn a Trump E.O.? Judges from Maine to Hawaii are tripping over themselves to issue an injunction.

OK, then we should stuff them. I mean filled to the brim. So many that it makes a count impossible. They chose this battlefield, we should attack them there.

When you realize the enormity of these plans, it’s truly mass criminal behavior.

Democrats have made it so that I could have requested ballots for other people who used to live at my address. If I had done so, once I had the ballots and filled them out, I didn’t have to face anyone or prove anything - I simply dropped them in a public accessible box, no ID needed, and no meaningful signature match done. Of course, there was the chance of discovery - but if my county’s officials weren’t very diligent, it would slip through and count - like Fulton County, with a rejection rate of less than one percent.

So, if you were a DJT hater, slightly clever and a little bit unscrupulous, there was no down side to sending in as many ballots as you could. Even if they were rejected, nobody is coming after you. And in Democrat-run cities, these ballots were welcomed.

Or making them into dog crap depositories would also make a point. Or bull excrement would even be better.

Any state that cannot justify claims of fraud should be be deleted from casting votes of any kind.

Nah, they would just wash the crap off and divine the voter's intent.

Lighter fluid and a match are cheaper and very effective.

Or, can play their rules, and put a few hundred extra ballots in each one.

They are easy to get, just pretend you are a 'tard, and keep asking for more, for the extended family you have living with you, say from any random page of the local phone directory.
