Cornyn’s true colors have been known for decades. He is 68 years old and was just elected (rewarded by the people) for another 6 year term. Keep electing the lesser of two evils and you still get evil self serving career politicians who look after themselves.
The US Senate is a club, and Senators are club members first, not representatives of the people. As long as Cornyn stays in the Senate he will take care of Schumer (theaters in NY) and Schumer will take care of him. Expect Cornyn to give the shaft to conservatives in Texas next year when the Dem amnesty program comes up for a vote. After all the conservative voters of Texas will have 6 years to forget the treachery. Plus, in the end they’ll vote for the RINO over another Beto.
It’s time to scrap the 17th Amendment and let state legislatures sent whoever they want to represent them. Think of the money that will NOT be paid to the media, advisors, special interests and talking heads.
