Eleven people were shot, three of them fatally, Monday in Chicago, including a man who was killed in a shooting during a robbery in Bridgeport on the South Side.
In the day’s first reported shooting, a 33-year-old man was wounded in Austin on the West Side. The man was sitting in a parked car about 1:20 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Mason Avenue when shots were fired, police said. He was transported to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.
Thirty-eight people were shot, six of them killed, last weekend citywide.

They're at 761 through yesterday which should include these 3. 800 is out of reach. More important, 7 were killed by police. That necessitates a riot. The good news, I guess, they've "cleared" 329 cases. And made arrests in 195 of those. 26% of the murders resulted in arrests. Some of those will be convicted too. Any wonder the mayhem continues. The sad part, for all the publicity Chicago gets it ranks about 25 on the murder per capita stats. Lots of worse cities. Carjackings have doubled, good thing people aren't driving. Won't get into domestic violence. The good news, if you live in the blue areas, it isn't much of a problem.
