The President needs to give this POS Bill the same treatment Nanzi Pelousy gave the State of the Union. Do it in the Oval Office in front of a roaring fireplace and throw the pieces into the fire where it belongs.

That action by McConnell refers to the NDAA. Trump has 10 days from the 21st of DEC to veto the Omnibus Bill. If he does, it will have to be taken up by the next Congress.

Trump could hold the bill until Jan. 2 and then veto it. He could use that as leverage to get a new bill.

Our rural broadband speed was horrible.......

Ours too. My nephews 2nd-grader barely can get the zoom classroom, and not all the time. A true broadband was installed in early Sept just 1/4 mile away, but not scheduled for my road for another 2 or 3 months. Hopefully funds will still be in place for installation when it is built. Otherwise, the installation charges will be over $200.

What the Democrats do is pull out of EVERY bottom desk drawer in EVERY Democrat Representative and Senator’s office EVERY “pork” spending bill they want to pass.

They add them to EVERY spending bill that is offered in the hope that some/ALL of their HOPIUM spending will be signed into law.

Democrats have been working on these spending plans for YEARS!

AND, they have had five months to put this monstrosity together!

I sent President Trump an email a few minutes ago asking him to please VETO this bill. You can too! Go to https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ and send President Trump your own VETO message!

The House and Senate are meeting for the first time on a Sunday 3 Jan 2021. To change the date, both chambers have to pass a bill changing the date and....wait for it....PDJT has to sign the bill.

They already know Trump will not sign off on the change so they are meeting on a Sunday for the first time in over 200 years. PDJT won't sign off on the change of date because he holds all the cards on a pocket veto of the Omnibus and Stimulus bills.

PDJT will not sign a bill changing the date for the new Congress because he needs the new congress GOP men and women in place before the electoral college decision and before the 5 Jan GA elections. The new Congress will be seated (at least initially) with a GOP majority on 3 Jan 2021.

FINALLY, the Trump Administration is showing skill at dealing with the nuance of DC politics. One thing I loved about Trump, he is a bull in a china shop. But, there are times when controlling the narrative requires nuance. He his definitely showing he is in control no matter if he has four weeks or four years left.

It’s the only pork I see that is needed. Schools need the money to pay the retirement funds because the states can’t collect taxes because too many people are out of work. States like California have too many redundant departments and those costs keep them from supporting schools and teachers

Can I borrow your copy of the Constitution? Mine seems to be missing all these extra sections about education and internet...

If States and schools don't have the tax base to fund their oversized retirement funds, they should have given people those accounts in the first place. Matching 401ks would have easily given the teachers a good retirement while putting zero future liabilities on the city/State/etc.
