Realizing we are a representative republic, I would support amendments to the constitution that would place safeguards as if in a democracy.
Such as: National referendums, National/State recalls, Term limits for all politicians/Judges, clause that allows for removal by the people any bureaucrat and a national civilian oversight of intelligence communities overseeing American citizen matters.

It should be clear that American Presidents NEED the ability to VETO special-interest payoffs corruptly inserted into 5000 page “must-pass-bills”.
There is now no “check-and-balance” on the corrupt cash tempting our congressmen to waste taxpayers’ money on such payoffs.
Perhaps, during a time of “national emergency”, President Trump can assert that he does indeed have that authority to protect us Americans.

If we assume a palestinian population of about 4,000,000 that’s about $625 for each and every palestinian, about the same as some, not all, Americans. Only fair. Besides, if the leadership steals half, it’s only $325 for every palestinian man, woman and child. On a family basis, still more than most Americans.
