This is how it should have played out. Its a pretty simple equation. All of this is protected by the 1st Amendment. Its both freedom of religion and freedom of speech. Legally, the town \ county \ township can’t stop it. Denying the permit would have resulted in court cases that they couldn’t hope to win, and a waste of tax payer money to defend themselves.

A few years ago I scheduled a Saturday blood donation at a church close to where I live. Didn’t know it at the time but its a predominantly (pretty much ALL) black church.

You shoulda seen the “what are YOU doin’ here” looks when I stepped on that bus.....I could literally feel the vib, it was undeniable.
As fate would have it the lead pastor was just finishing up his donation and graciously welcomed me in true Christian fashion......he was the only one. Lol
