I was in downtown Detroit yesterday and have never seen so many forlorn, hopeless looking citizens with signs asking for help at stop lights. Many said, “family to feed, please help. god bless.” It was chilly out. They were bundled up in raggedy looking clothes. It was very depressing, disturbing.
