Public School Enrollments Down As Parents Start Noticing Liberal Propaganda

I doubt this is being driven as much by liberal propaganda as it is by public school teachers who, ignoring all the science they're telling the rest of us to follow, are flat out refusing to allow the schools to open back up.

Virtual learning is a disaster and a lot of parents need to get back to work. They're not going to keep their kids at home forever. They'll find somewhere else that will take them in.

Having married a provider, acquiring the social strata that comes along with that, purchasing affordable real estate, then managing home economics, no one in our house depended on government schools. That’s school choice. Parents are responsible for educating their kids. We dealt with parochial, private, charter, public and home school. No drama. Just got the job done.

Why doesn’t everyone do this?

We have two granddaughters living in Fairfax County, VA. Their parents opted to take them out of this system due to the insertion of social justice curriculum. My granddaughters are now being home schooled and beneficiaries of a solid education.

Sending one’s kids to any public school is child abuse.

Government Efforts always fail. They are designed for the lowest denominator. Brightest get bored then put into even dumber classes. Vicious cycle.

Public Schools abandoned "education" a long time ago.

The don't teach reading, writing, arithmetic, history, or science.

It's all about indoctrination to the liberal mindset.

Parents have a duty, and obligation, and a responsibility to provide their children with the best education possible.

If the whiney liberals don't like it, the path to fixing it is clear.

Get back to basics and screw the Unions and the Communists.

This had started way before Wuflu.

In about 1995, took my daughter out of a public school that catered to the underachievers at the expense of the more capable students. Put her in a private school and never looked back. Today, I wish I was as successful as she has become.

You cannot have excellence when you teach to the lowest common denominator. Throw in some mindless liberal agendas and you have the state of today’s public education.

It is way past time to have school vouchers for all.

Yep—I am getting them now at the college level. Also zero pride in their work and, among the young men especially, almost zero initiative. It is truly frightening. These aren’t top-tier students who have a lot more going for them, as they say—but down at those who are only dragged into college with massive taxpayer-funded bribes, one might almost get the feeling that nobody is counting on these kids to contribute to society at all.

There will soon be a tax on private education or homeschoolers to coerce parents to send kids back to public schools

“...“Our affluent parents, they’ve got what they call pods, they’ve hired teachers or workers to support their kids for the day. They’re paying them like $20 or $30 an hour. Black families are trying to just live.”

Last spring, when the Wuhan started closing schools, ‘affluent’ parents were being blamed for the growing gap between white and black kids, because they actually took the time to see that their kids were educated. Apparently expending an effort to improve the education of one’s children is an example of ‘white privilege’.

I've been wondering when someone was going to try a concept like that.

“Public Education” and “The News Media” are 2 industries that are ripe for take over by market forces.

1970s American cars were poorly made but they weren't designed to deliberately injure you like modern education or the news media.

And that’s because private schools haven’t gotten any better it’s because public schools continue to get worse

Don’t like it? Don’t trash their segment of society, and don’t waste class time and tax money on political brainwashing. You got what you asked for, now you want to whine about it.

They could end the needless lockdown if they want children to have free in-person education.
They could stop preventing access to effective, safe treatments for any teachers worried about the risks the MSM keeps fabricating.

The education system could acknowledge that Covid is 99.9% survivable. They could educate themselves and stop studying the MSM corrupt curriculum. There’s that.

Now that employees are working remotely, employers can look more favorably at homeschooled students, furthering the downward spiral of public education.
