No accountability when it comes to high level government employees - which is why the corruption gets worse every day.
I’m a municipal court judge in one jurisdiction and a city prosecutor in another. You wouldn’t believe the number of judges, city officials’ relatives, etc. who come to my court expecting me to just dismiss their speeding, etc., tickets because of who they or their relatives are. I had a freelance court reporter come in and say that because she’s an “officer of the court”, I should show her “professional courtesy” and dismiss her speeding ticket. Nope.
