New Orleans, LA — In just a few days, there will be countless celebrations to ring in the new year. Many are ready to move on from 2020 after many crazy events and a worldwide pandemic that has resulted in thousands of lives lost. Each year, television networks battle with their New Years’ Eve celebrations.
One big event is the “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve,” which has been a staple of News Years Eve for many years. It’s hosted by Ryan Seacrest and is scheduled to take place in New Orleans this year. One Christian singer scheduled to perform this year has now been canceled.
Singer Lauren Daigle was scheduled to appear on the show this year, but after a complaint by the New Orleans mayor, she has been canceled. Mayor LaToya Cantrell wrote a letter to the production studio responsible for the show and asked that Daigle be removed for violating COVID restrictions that were put into place.

That would appear to have 1A lawsuit written all over it.
Joe McCarthy was right. We need a new Council on Un-American Activities.
Turning the other cheek does not work now because both cheeks will be battered. Sue the city and Dick Clark productions for everything you can get even if it puts them both into bankruptcy.
America is great because America was founded by those who believed in a power greater than themselves. We only survive as a nation if we, as its citizens, continue to observe those same founding principles through our actions and trust in God.

i sang this for a friend last month...
When was the last time New Orleans had an honest, efficient and pragmatic mayor? Most are probably still in jail since they made the movie “The Big Easy” (aka “The Big Sleazy”).
Hey, is Chocolate City mayor Ray “Let them drown” Nagin still in jail or did he get appointed to some Democrat administration well-paying, no-work job in Slidell?
Democrats are the other religion of peace, you know /sarc
How is New Orleans doing with “shutdowns?” Is it pretty locked down? LA is a red state—my son got into a college in New Orleans and is hoping to attend an “in person” college next fall.
I'm not advocating for "turning the other cheek." It's that kind of insufficient understanding by many Christians which has gotten us into this mess.
As a nation, we must live by the standards established by God and adhere to the Covenant the founders made that we as a nation would do so. And to do so, we have to take the actions necessary to do so - opposite to turning the "other cheek."
The second most important commandment is to love one another. If we turn our collective heads away while the abortionist cuts up the most innocent among us, that's indifference to what happens to our most innocent citizens - not love. The same can be said of indifference to sex trafficking, hooking others on drugs, stealing votes, and on, and on.
Christ is returning as a lion to clean up this lawlessness since apparently, we're no longer capable of doing so for ourselves. America is still the "light of the world", but barely so, and mostly due to the rest world growing eviler every day in comparison.
