No, Trump would be guaranteeing a republican form of government by refusing to recognzize fraudulent election results that no other Western democracy would accept, and ordering new elections with paper ballots counted by people not machines, full transparency of the process, photo ID and proof of citizenship required, etc.

A Republican form of government by declaring martial law, holding an election not sanctioned by the Constitution and imposing restrictions not allowed under the Constitution. And to do what? Bring faith and trust back to our elections? Are you serious? Right now upwards of half the people think the election was rigged. Hold the election you're talking about and the first half will have faith and the other half of the country will think it's rigged. What exactly have you accomplished other than have Trump remain in office? And if that's all you want you don't need a new election. Martial law will allow for that.

In case you slept through history class, former slaves were given the right to vote in elections supervised by the U.S. Army in South during Reconstruction. That's not unprecedented. What is unprecedented is having a Chief Justice who refuses to enforce the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Without those protections, its not a constitutional election. (See Bush v. Gore.) That's right, bring faith and trust back to our elections, exactly. When a disgruntled employee urinates in a vat of wine, should it be bottled up and sold, or does it just get tossed? Since the courts won't toss mail in ballots, the elections need to be rerun cleanly. The dead won't object. The non-citizens have no right to complain, and the cheaters can go eff themselves for all I care. Better that they are unhappy than us. Lastly, this is bigger than Trump remaining in office. If he won legally, he should. This is about restoring us to a republican form of government, not perpetual marial law. You missed the plot here.
