Meghan McCain hit back at President Trump early Friday morning after he criticized her father, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), in a tweet.
"Two years after he died, you still obsess over my dad. It kills you that no one will ever love you or remember you like they loved and remember him. He served his country with honor, you have disgraced the office of the presidency," she tweeted, responding to Trump advising people to "check out last in his class John McCain, one of the most overrated people in D.C." in an earlier tweet.
"You couldn't even pull it out in Arizona," Meghan McCain added, referring to President-elect Joe Biden winning the state Trump had secured in 2016.
Meghan McCain has frequently spoken out against Trump, especially in response to his repeated criticisms of her father, who died from brain cancer in 2018.
Trump notably mocked the former GOP presidential nominee on the campaign trail in 2015, saying people think the Arizona lawmaker “was a war hero because he was captured” and that “I like people who weren’t captured.”
The late senator spent 5 1/2 years as a prisoner of war while serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Trump has repeatedly come under fire for mocking John McCain since, including after his death.
Both Meghan McCain and Cindy McCain, the late senator's wife, celebrated Biden's win in the 2020 presidential race. Cindy McCain helped campaign for Biden earlier this year.
Of course she can. This isn't about politics. It's personal. She's sticking up for her dad and isn't interested in the details of his political career.
It's not really news either. It's just what she has always been doing. Nothing new or interesting.
OH, WE DO REMEMBER your father, dearie. Just nowhere in the same blind eye terms that you wish us to.
He was an integral part of the false dossier that cost this country over $84 MILLION in an ‘investigation’.
How much good would that money have done elsewhere???
He was a bitter, petty man who couldn’t live up to the name of his Dad & Grand dad. NOT uncommon, but he didn’t deserve the halo you & others have granted him.

IF McCain had followed ORDERS that day he was shot down——he would not have been shot down.
HE decided to make ONE MORE flyover-—and he was NOT following orders from his commanders.
McCain & his campaign staff also were very nasty to Sarah Palin. She didn’t deserve that treatment.

One has to wonder just how far and in what ways that love was “consummated”...
If this idiot had any sense, she’d shut the H-E-double-hockey-stick up. At no point does she deal with anything that has any substance to it. If she had any brains, she’d bury her father’s ‘legacy’ with her father and hope that it all quietly disappears into the dustbins of history.
By continually saying what she does, she ensures that doesn’t happen.....until some day, she’ll find herself in a place with no place to turn and no way to refute the reality of what her father actually did.
Carl Bernstein had gotten the fake dossier from McCain.
He was working with the other rinos and the democrats from the beginning.
