Fast-spreading Covid variant detected in South Africa - similar to one found in UK

A SEVERE VARIANT of the coronavirus has been detected in South Africa which could explain the rapid spread of a second wave that affects younger people, the health minister said.

Known as the 501.V2 Variant, it was identified by South African researchers and details have been sent to the World Health Organization, Zwelini Mkhize said in a statement.

A team led by the Kwazulu-Natal Research Innovation and Sequencing Platform (KRISP), has sequenced hundreds of virus samples since the pandemic began, and “noticed that a particular variant has increasingly dominated the findings of the samples collected in the past two months,” he added.

It’s been reported that 88% of the latest results in the Western Cape province are from the new Covid-19 variant.

South African doctors have remarked that more patients are younger, and do not always have other conditions that amplify the virus’ effect, but are nonetheless suffering from more severe forms of Covid-19.

That “strongly suggests that the current second wave we are experiencing is being driven by this new variant,” Mkhize concluded.

“Why are you repeating a lie?”

Just like liberal. Ignore the facts and attach the messenger.

That was some kind of freak occurrence ecause he drank gallons of the stuff.

A frew drops in the sinus rinse or nebulizer won’t do that.

It worked for me on occasion.

I’m not talking about goofy stuff like crystals and meditation. I would agree that that is a ripoff with no medical benefit.

What is medicine made from?

A lot of it is made from plants. Some plants and essential oils have antibiotic antiseptic and antiviral effects.

Sure, sometimes you have to gt the big guns from a doctor.

But if home remedies can work, why not try that first if your dilemma is not life threatening?

I probably should have said home remedies instead of alternative medicine....

Somebody loves mice!

“In mice, about 80 to 90 percent of embryos develop to the blastocyst stage. In humans, it’s about 30 percent,” said Reijo Pera. “In addition, about one in 100 mouse embryos are chromosomally abnormal, versus about seven out of 10 human embryos.”

Every month, Lishan Su receives a small test tube on ice from a company in California. In it is a piece of liver from a human fetus aborted at between 14 and 19 weeks of pregnancy.

Su and his staff at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill carefully grind the liver, centrifuge it and then extract and purify liver- and blood-forming stem cells. They inject the cells into the livers of newborn mice, and allow those mice to mature. The resulting animals are the only ‘humanized’ mice with both functioning human liver and immune cells and, for Su, they are invaluable in his work on hepatitis B and C, allowing him to probe how the viruses evade the human immune system and cause chronic liver diseases.

Scroll down in the article and you'll see a table indicating 13% of aborted fetuses used in research are devoted to fighting infectious diseases.

“A frew drops in the sinus rinse or nebulizer won’t do that.”

A few drops in the sinus rinse or nebulizer won’t do crap!

After all these hundreds of years there is no evidence it does anything except lighten your pocketbook.

No aborted babies involved in vaccine development but you devote your posts to the vaccines rather than all the babies aborted for choice.!

Not related to vaccine.

You can't prove that.

And what if they were only related to cures? Would you still justify the macabre Mengelian research?

But we do know Pfizer's vaccine is related to abortion via the same research.

Pfizer research required no babies to be aborted.

It’s not a premise. The research is ongoing and you’re supporting it by advocating it’s resulting products.

Facts not premises.

Pfizer research required no babies to be aborted.

It was developed with research resulting from the murder of a baby. The research scientist was even present at the abortion.

Your premise of needing babies to be aborted is false.

Why aren’t. you protesting chickenpox, rubella and hepatitis A vaccines?

Did your children get these vaccines? Unlike the COVID vaccines, these need the cell lines to produce the vaccine.

Oh, no—not the gaseous retired, what, anesthesiologist—or maybe gastro?—doc again. Lots more likelihood of vaccine reaction than saving the life of someone like that. Wasn’t even tested in trial at all on anyone that old, but they are the first ones getting jabbed with it.
