Welcome to the “People’s Republic of Cuomostan, formerly known as the “Empire State.” Someone needs to indict this megalomaniac.

Fighting back is tough when the other side has the big hammer.
Here’s an idea, don’t vote Democrat. Wait, it’s NY, nevermind.

We seem to be locked in a battle to the death. The left is playing this like if they lose, they are all going to prison.
Hence their “scorched earth” attitude and proclamations that make no sense to a sane person.
I think we’re on the cusp of something very big, no matter which side “wins”.

When Broadway supposedly reopens next summer will there be any restaurants left to serve all the theater goers? Hmm. Come to think of it will there even be a Broadway left? Producers and financial sponsors of stage productions will think twice of putting on a show in NYC after all this crap!

They need to all get together and sue both the state and Cuomo personally because there is no basis to the shutdown.

Nope.
Broadway is done for.
Actors are seeking other jobs.
I know one who has gone into real estate.

Retaliate.
Restauranteurs should make it known that anyone who cooks or serves food to Cuomo or his henchmen will never work in the food industry again.
100% boycott, everyone from Maitre’ D in the ritziest place in Manhattan to the kid in the drive-thru window at McD’s.
And let’s not forget personal chefs...

Although lawsuits must be initiated, it will take a long time -- perhaps years -- to resolve and Cuomo will have bankrupted the state long before then.
No ... what must happen immediately is that everyone -- thousands and thousands of businesses and other private venues -- must open their doors and conduct business as they did last December. People must simply ignore everything -- and I mean everything -- that spews out of Cuomo's and De Blasio's fetid mouths and that formulates in their vile, sick minds and get back to living like American citizens and not like New York subjects!

Eat corned beef on rye at Katz’s or die! (to borrow a motto)

De Blasio said that indoor dining was “a very optional activity, which some people do a lot who have the resources and others can’t do at all because they don’t have the resources.”And now, neither the owners nor the many workers at those restaurants don't have the resources, either. So fair! (/S)

It is very important to them that business owners be seen coming to the government and begging for a check. Government is omnipotent, after all, and these upstarts have been setting a bad example for the proles. Certified loyal businesses like Walmart and Amazon can provide for the people's needs. But these kulaks have to be rooted out and destroyed now, while the COVID-19 opportunity is there.

What if the owners continued business and physically hauled off any apparatchiks who came to enforce the governor’s edicts.

Many NYC restaurants have a much bigger problem than Cuomo’s shutdowns. As a number of their owners have pointed out in recent months, they’d be in desperate financial straits even if they were allowed to open indoors to 100% of their capacity.
With so many NYC employers keeping their workers at home and so many wealthy New Yorkers fleeing the city permanently, the NYC restaurant industry simply doesn’t have enough customers anymore.
