WASHINGTON - President-elect Joe Biden brings more Capitol Hill experience than any president in decades, but his transition has stumbled in ways large and small, exposing the challenges of navigating a Congress that is a different place than when he last served in 2009.
He rolled out an almost all-white national security team when allies were expecting diversity. He filled top posts with familiar Washington hands rather than fresh newcomers. His team clumsily floated some names and retracted others for the Cabinet.
None of the setbacks has been politically devastating.
But taken together, the slights and slip-ups of Biden’s interactions with Congress leave the impression his team is misreading the Capitol Hill audience he’ll be relying on for legislative outcomes.
And it calls into question one of the incoming president’s most prized attributes — his presumed ability to work with an often unruly Congress. Biden last walked the marbled halls as a senator more than a decade ago. Only one-third of the senators with whom he served remain in office, forcing the president-elect to create new relationships.
“A strong belief that my dad drilled into my head: First impressions are lasting, and you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression,” Rep. James Clyburn, the highest-ranking Black lawmaker in Congress and a top Biden ally, said in an interview Thursday.
Clyburn said people were “raising hell” over what he called the “herky-jerky” rollout of the initial, predominantly white Cabinet picks. Biden’s team swiftly adjusted, introducing Black, Latino and Asian American nominees as the president-elect vows to build the most diverse administration in history.
“I’m satisfied with what they’re doing,” Clyburn said. “I was not satisfied with the way they did it.”

Well, it sounds like the Biden transition team is in absolute CHAOS!
(Sound familiar?)
Biden is a demented figurehead. There will be constant squabbles for power and policy within the lunatic Democrat hothouse. There will be much confusion and irrationality.
I would expect that the most qualified people would be chosen for cabinet positions, regardless of skin color or 'gender identity.'
If he gets in TPTB will get him out.
I’m puzzled by the way this article was written. Biden has almost zero negotiation accomplishments in forty years. His VP has zero negotiation accomplishments. No one I can on his staff has any background like this.
As long as Georgia stays with the two Republican Senators and people put a boot to Mitch....there’s not much happening in 2021. I would mark it as the marginal year for politics.
An awful lot of trouble for a lost cause. He’s never going to take office.
If Bitem gets in as they think, none of this matters. The leaders of the resulting "nation" will be disconnected from the electorate, as the voting mechanisms will have been successfully seized. They can roll in whomever they want, ignore any flack from right or left, and do as they please. They will not fix Dominion (but they will "fix" it), in fact they might be inclined to improve their software and make their controls stealthier.
That said, I'm fully confident this Nation will not be taken over this time.

Age and 2 brain surgeries will do that. The knife that is Hunter is being sharpened and will be used to cut creepy, corrupt Joe’s throat soon after inauguration.
The Ho is a soulless b!tch, and things will go downhill from there, if you can imagine that.

Are you new here? If, by some miracle those senate seats are not stolen, China Mitch is primed for selling votes to appease his Chinese masters, and increase his personal wealth.
The outlook for 2021 is bleak.
Even some on the left think Biden is basically throwing darts at a board, or picking random turds out of a punch bowl...for cabinet posts.
Remember about a couple months ago when Pelosi made a quick announcement that they were looking into the 25th amendment. At first I thought, “Oh, for Trump, right?” But she never mentioned Trump’s name. Nope. She was actually signaling to her troops. At that point many in her party were having concerns about Biden’s mental fitness. So, she mentions the 25th as a way of calming them all down - as if to say - “Don’t ya’ll worry none, we’ll take care to get rid of Joe, we just need to get him across the finish line.”
I’m afraid we’re gonna see a lot of stumbling out of that old codger.....just a smokescreen for obama.
Your faith is strong. Make it so.
Clyburn said his people were “raising hell” over what he called the “herky-jerky” rollout....not enough blacks, even if they don’t have any xpierence. Clayburn says we need not blacks in goberment...it’s free money.
