Well, they might as well change the name of the Thomas Jefferson school while they’re at it, since they have guaranteed he is now rolling in his grave.

Where this is going is the intellectual retards will be designing our bridges and buildings.

There was a pedestrian bridge at a Florida college that collapsed a couple of years ago over a boulevard full of cars. A article soon appeared naming the design engineers, who were women. I went back a week or two later to link the article in a comment here, and of course it had been scrubbed already.

Don't get me wrong; I'm a woman. But promoting people because of race or sex proves nothing, and ends up harming society.

It wont be the number one high school for much longer.
A more sane, less woke, more merit based establishment will take over the number one spot in next to no time.
No one stays at number one forever. Nice knowing ya. Buh Bye.

For the number 1 school, it appears to be in severe need of a 3 foot framer’s square across the front roof line. Funny camera angle I suppose.

This pic is slightly better:

I’ll be willing to bet part of this “number 1” is how many students go to Ivy schools upon graduation.

True; there will always be value in a "well-rounded" education. Our local prep school's debate team had to debate TJ, and they were formidable. Yet, science and technology studies don't always make students uniformly great debaters, so our kids' teams won easily as often as theirs did.

Republican politicians need to make a big issue out of this. Nobody wants an affirmative action dentist, surgeon, architect, computer tech etc.

It's been tried elsewhere. Remember when the New York Fire Department changed its admission requirements so that more blacks would qualify? In the ensuing legal fights from whites who scored higher, the courts supported the racist policy. Who cares about potential fire victims when you can feel virtuous in court?

The criteria for becoming No. 1 will be redefined to mean something far different than it does now.

That's like saying you will redefine the best team in the NBA to be the New York Knicks, which hasn't even made the playoffs, let alone win a title for decades.
That's not how it works. Whether a school or a team is the best or not is something you can just change the definition for.
Merely redefining a terrible school so its now called the best school, doesn’t even come close to making it so.

You know that and I know that. But watch them do it, and then watch everyone fall in line and pretend, just like they are doing with calling trannies whatever sex they say they are.

“Our movies and music and art will be the output of idiots.”

Will be? I must have misunderstood something, I thought you were going to describe the coming CHANGES.

Nobody will fall in line.
People will just move their kids to the really great schools, including even liberals. That is the only real measure of what the best schools are.
Liberals are not totally stupid.

I would point out that no diversity of thought is what the Left is after, why they are doing things like this -everywhere-, and not necessarily the current state of that high school.

/Captain Obvious

Aside: the Chicago Annenburg Challenge grant, over a hundred million worth of swag meant to improve education in Chicago but pissed off with bupkis to show for it. As a mere lawyer one might be tempted to forgive Obama for being a nitwit who didn’t know shit from shineola (something even Nathan, The Jerk of movie fame, mastered) but when you consider all the “respected educators” involved like Bill Ayers one has to conclude that they intended to sell shit and not shineola all along ... jobs for the boys too ... and that they are typical of such “educators”.

He stopped making bombs because he could do more harm with access to kids.

Especially teaching teachers ... frankly anyone who has gone through his school’s program or any program subsequently dominated by those should be forbidden from ever teaching.

As for the Chicago Annenburg Challenge, it was a way for Ayers to get money to other assclowns. The last thing they would want would be to improve education in Chicago ... if things actually got better and kids were learning who would need these “experts” anymore?
