Raphael Warnock Praised Nation of Islam in 2013: ‘Its Voice Has Been Important’ in ‘Black Theology’

Rev. Raphael Warnock, the Democratic candidate for one of two U.S. Senate seats in Georgia, praised the racist and antisemitic Nation of Islam in a speech in 2013, calling its voice “important” in the development of “black theology.”

Warnock was delivering an interfaith lecture in July 2013 titled “The Divided Mind of the Black Church: Theology, Piety and Public Witness,” about his book of the same name, at the Chautauqua Institution, a non-profit organization in Chautauqua, New York.

During the question-and-answer session, he was asked by a member of the audience about the black church’s relationship with the Nation of Islam.

He responded (at 53:50 in the audio here):

Well, the Nation of Islam is significant. But its numbers don’t come anywhere near the membership of our churches. Its voice has been important, and its voice has been important even for the development of black theology, because it was the black Muslims who challenged black preachers, and said, “You’re promulgating,” you know, they called “the white man’s religion. That’s a slave religion. You’re telling people to focus on heaven. Meanwhile, they’re catching hell.” And so we needed the witness of the nation of Islam in a real sense to put a fire under us and keep us honest about the meaning of the proclamation coming from our pulpits.

Video of Warnock’s answer appears here:

The Nation of Islam is led by Louis Farrakhan, whose racist and antisemitic rhetoric has long been a matter of public record.

Warnock has been criticized before for praising the radical Rev. Jeremiah Wrigh.

Isn’t black theology the theology that produces the Elon Musks of the world?

Its a CULT! Just like Mormonism, Roman Catholicism, and Buddhism, all perversions and flights of insanity founded by insane false prophets or self appointed representatives of God who managed to convince large numbers of brain dead people to follow them to Hades. How can any rational person take them seriously?

I once was shocked that any state could actually elect a Socialist Bernie Sanders.
One after another the American people have topped that, now voting for the overthrow of our great nation by such as this man. To have Georgia actually consider him for the Senate is preposterously wrong.

Once there were equal time candidates on TV ads for Greenback Party, Peace and Freedom (1967 ballot),Working Families Party (1998),Workers World Party (1959) and later on the Natural Law Party (for Transcendental Meditation, 1992 ballot).

We all would endure having them spout off, then laugh them off and ignore them as they got a tiny amount of votes. No harm done.

Now these Georgia ones could cause the US Senate to fall to an all Dem House, Senate and Presidency.

America, what are you doing?

Black Theology is RACIST. Black Lives Matter is RACIST. Cancel them all...(like Martin Luther King advocated).
