Excellent Maxell reference.
Still Thinking urges control of screechy, nails-on-chalkboard ‘who stepped on the cat’ singers.
I found an old tape recently that was sentimental but in bad shape. I got out my tiny Philips head screwdriver, opened the case, made repairs, and it works as good as new. One of the little DoodleBobs told me it was so retro that I was playing tapes again.
My process was to make a tape of all my albums upon the first play of that album, then put the album away and just wear out the tape. I beat the daylights out of tape players but my albums are in near mint condition.
Hahaha, same here. I have a stack of vinyl in the closet and two record players, but I gave away nearly all of my tapes a decade or so ago. Still have the Sony 3-head player, though. I suppose I should have ebayed it at some point.
Anyway, the only reason I’m bothering to reply at this late date is to note that you might want to consider hooking your vinyl up to your computer and ripping them to HQ digital that way. I ripped my vinyl to CD long ago, and have been enjoying it ever since.
Merry Christmas!
