I have a hard time imagining anyone becoming ungovernable while the poorest are the most likely to be obese. That sounds like a science fiction dystopia but it’s actually one of our unprecedented societal conditions. Along with things like everyone being the most passively entertained and the least used to hard physical labor in human history.

To me, the thing that makes it unlikely that conservatives will turn to violent resistance is that conservatives (unlike the antifa punks) have families, homes, jobs, etc. They would be risking a lot of what is dear to them.
