Here is an excerpt from Fox News’ coverage of the story, FWIW. It seems that the Kansas situation was not just about whether or not to require ID to vote, as per the second paragraph.
“The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to review an appeal from Kansas seeking to reinstate voter identification laws which a federal appeals court had declared unconstitutional earlier this year.
Kansas had been the only state to require people to show a physical document such as a birth certificate or passport when applying to register to vote. The issue is distinct from state laws that call for people to produce driver licenses or other photo IDs to cast a vote in person.”
Because a driver’s license or photo ID does not prove citizenship. . .they want voters to prove citizenship. . .that’s the issue.
What do people have to show to get the Real ID Drivers License or ID Card? I believe it requires two forms of Identification.
Why did I have to show my Drivers License and a second form of ID when I applied for my CCW?
Which is yet another example of FOX turning to the dark side.
Facts matter. Kansas SAFE Act.
