Leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement have come out against President-elect Joe Biden’s decision to nominate former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg for Secretary of Transportation, recalling his struggles with minority voters.
Biden announced Tuesday that Buttigieg was his choice for the transportation post — a plum position for a candidate who dropped out of the presidential race before Super Tuesday and endorsed the former vice president.

So we know what Pete was promised for dropping out. What about Warner and Klobuchar? Were they stiffed?
Back as mayor....Mayor Pete was on the bad-boy list by local blacks in town. He wouldn’t prioritize their projects ahead of the artsy downtown district. I remember this coming up in the fall of 2019...very negative feelings about his support of the black community.
My gut-feeling is that he’s on the short list as VP for Harris as Joe is shuffled out for his dementia.
He should be nominated for plugging holes in the deficit.
Buttgig’s major effort at the Transportation Department may be to mandate building of Rooms to Rent by the One-half hour at all truck stops on the Interstates. /only partially sarcasm

Just like the Black Caucus. Unless you are part of a coalition that forms a majority, you have no place at the table.

If the MARXISTs get amnesty passed, BLM will have to start speaking Spanish to get anyone’s attention.
Biden promised to appoint a lot of minorities, it was clear to me that his selecting a black general for DOD was just a quota filling exercise. Quality of individual is not high on the list of reasons to select someone.
