Hoping Mitch is just playing along... for now.
I think there is another explanation for why these Republican politicians are saying there is no fraud - and that the President should concede:
Occam’s Razor. They are believing the fake news. The fake news is pushing this narrative relentlessly.
But why would they believe fake news lies? - one might ask.
Well here’s why I think they very well might be:
When it comes to dismissing fake news lies, I put myself in the 99th percentile. It’s practically automatic to assume that given the source, it is a lie. I avoid those sources 100%.
Well, maybe not 100% - because even on FR, people are constantly posting fake news “for discussion”. Even on Lou Dobbs or Newsmax, or Bannon’s War room - they show “what the other side is saying”.
So we do get exposed to their propaganda every day - even the most savvy among us - even the most vigilant fake news doubters among us.
But it doesn’t affect us... right? Wrong.
I find myself on an emotional roller coaster these people days - sometimes euphoric - clinging to hope that the massive fraud will be exposed and the tides will turn - other days demoralized by the depth and far reaching tentacles of deep state corruption.
So if the fake news can penetrate MY knee-jerk skepticism - dash MY hopes on a bad news day - then what is it’s effect on RINOs and other weak-kneed Republicans who are less vigilant?
I think people like McConnell, Christie - even Romney... are simply believing the fake news - and if you listen to the fake news, there is no doubt - Biden will be sworn in, and Trump is delusional.
If I’m right, they will all be whistling a different tune a week from now.
