he head of the White House security office, Crede Bailey, had a part of his lower right leg and the big toe of his left foot amputated because of COVID-19, Bloomberg reported on Monday.
Bailey has been hospitalized with a severe case of COVID-19 for three months but is said to be recovering.
Friends of Bailey's have raised over $35,000 through a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for his rehabilitation and "staggering" healthcare costs.
Crede Bailey, who heads the White House security office, lost part of his lower right leg, including his foot, and a toe of his left foot during a months-long battle with COVID-1

I would imagine he had poor circulation and diabetes....any infection whether viral or bacterial will play havoc with blood sugar control....but its just a guess...
Yeah it’s bad. Similar to my neighbor who didn’t change his oil for a year and then lost his engine because of COVID. Nasty stuff.
No. Covid causes blood clots.

The article is a dig at President Trump implying his administration covered this up. That’s all they care about. They don’t care about this man.
I am curious what he actually owes with federal government health coverage.
Most health policies do have a maximum pay out agreement.
Three months in the hospital?
In Washington D.C., that's probably $200,000 just for the first page of your medical bill.
Well somebody cares about Crede. So far, they’ve raised $50,089 on GoFundMe.
This thread is useless without pictures.
He is the head of WH security and has no medical insurance all government employees are union they have the best medical benefits anyone could ask for WTH???
BI is a rag.
No doubt the individual neglected his diabetes.
You can bet the guy is overweight AND has diabetes!!!
Burger place forgot my extra order of fries with my cheeseburger combo. This was about a week ago. Lucky thing I checked the bag first.
I called in the best New World Order Global Warming scientists I could find. They researched this disaster extensively.
They all agreed it was because of Covid.
The science is settled.
I doubt the story was covid only...people loose their feet or lower legs due to poor circulation or from massive infection like mrsa that can’t be controlled...
Certainly sorry to hear about his troubles.
I’m calling BS on that article. The article talks about blood clots, I’ll give them that. If I’m “getting” blood clots, I’m worried about a stroke, not losing my leg. Losing my leg comes from severe type two diabetes.
I read the article and here is the part that tries to connect Rona to blood clots:
“What’s the connection between COVID-19 and blood clots?
It’s not yet clear how or why COVID-19 is causing blood clots to form, Dr. Tsuang says. But there does seem to be a connection. One study in Amsterdam found that nearly one-third of people hospitalized with severe cases of COVID-19 had complications from blood clots.”
Key words: “seem to be”. Yeah. There also “seems to be” a connection between people having type 2 diabetes and dying of Rona.
And then the article tries to extrapolate on that:
“Are clots a risk for people with mild cases of COVID-19?
There are reports that clots are forming in people with COVID-19 who are at home and mobile — not just those lying flat in a hospital bed. But it’s not clear yet how common they are.”
Yeah, and how many of them have diabetes? The article smacks of intentional propaganda.
It does have a cool graphic of a bunch of blood cells all holding hands to block the flow of other blood cells. I say they’re BLM.
After reading the headline, I thought this would be from the babylon bee
easy to find plenty of information on the use of hyperbaric oxygen which has prevented amputations when used.
“I am curious what he actually owes with federal government health coverage.”
I’m curious too.
Comment of the day!
I’m talking about the attempt to associate Rona with blood clots rather than how to prevent amputations. There are ties, all the way back to the beginning of the year, to diabetes, which is well known to wreak havoc on the legs. Who doesn’t know of someone who developed type two diabetes and ended up having a foot or leg amputated?
If you are old and have diabetes, and then test positive for Rona, well...nobody lives forever.
