Salt mines my dad’s bro (RIP) worked in under Detroit. I recall going down there as a 5-7 y/o with uncle and seeing big trucks in what was like an underground city. More memory jogs from FR. Sheesh. T
He died many, many years later in Monrovia CA. Emphysema. Dad saw him go out and cold turkeyed his 2-pack a day Pall Mall habit. Dad made it to 80 in Kingman AZ with sis. Took care of mom who battled Parkinson for 20 years. Tough assignment. Sometimes I wonder about Parkinson and if it’s related to...dunno.
She had brain implant to control tremors. Worked pretty good. Didn’t do much for seize ups...stiffness at night. RIP parents.
