To further your post, I also heard on late night talk radio that the ATF changed the rules on what constitutes a ‘firearm’.

I am not clear on this, but apparently some outfits sell 80% guns. In order to make it a workable gun the buyer has to go somewhere else for the rest.

Until now the ATF left those 80% stores alone. A day or so ago they got raided and forced to hand over all customer information. No warrant, but they gave it up anyway.

Point being expect more of this if Joe and the ho pull the voter scam off.

Not even close - the only part of an AR type firearm that has a serial number and requires a background check is the completed lower receiver.

An 80 percent lower is a receiver that’s only 80 percent complete, and it can be purchased without a background check.

It does require a jig and drill press (or router), a few hours of time and a bunch of metal removal. Then it becomes a complete lower receiver that doesn’t require a serial number if you keep it and build your own firearm.

Try to find an 80 percent lower now - they’re becoming more scarce than ammo.
