This cannot stand. If state legislators do not do their jobs here, POTUS must exercise his powers.
It appears that it will have to come down to that. SCOTUS has decided they don't want to hear or see any evil, and hope the whole thing will simply go away. The president might be the only person left at this point who can save the Republic.

Yes it will likely fall on Trump’s shoulders. I do not envy him having to make the decision to invoke the 2018 EO and suspend this election until further notice. He has to play out the constitutional process until it fails first though.
