Faster than the speed of light. I though the speed of light was a constant and was as fast as any thing could travel.

Objects are not pulled into the hole in a straight line.

They have to circle the drain like Earth's solar system is to the Milky Way's black hole.

Mathematically you can travel faster than the speed of light. Einsteins equations permit it. It is just that you can't travel AT the speed of light , and there is the rub.
