This time four years ago the media was actively soliciting leaks of ANY kind, true or not. It didn’t matter. Dog as much diet as they could, publish it without verification, the nastier the better. Journalistic integrity and standards are way in the past. They’re not even trying to hide it at this point.

I took a journalism class in the 8th grade (1966) and our instructor continually emphasized the rules for honest reporting - The 5 W’s plus H - Who, What, When, Where and Why plus How. I guess they don’t teach that anymore.
