The powers that be figure we are less dangerous than the leftists.
That is the calculus but if certain actions by us can be taken now the other side would have a problem. They would have to demand action by a president they hate who could invoke the Insurrection act against everybody including not just our side but their side too. This would include hunting down the leaders and financial backers of EVERYBODY involved in the fracas...THEIR SIDE, too! Congressmen, senators and even media types could get arrested. If our side got mad enough to go after their side, their side can’t risk that if the president steps in to stop the fighting a lot of people on their side would also be caught up by the military and tried by tribunals...even the elections centers in various states could be game by the military enforcing Trump’s use of the Insurrection act.
So the powers that be are just hoping that we will just cool down and go away...like we’ve always done before! I fear the match is already lit though, not sure where the first boom will happen.
