Yes. Yes he is.
Best post I’ve read in years and I read Free Republic posts every day. Thanks.
I’m going to try your “my culture. . .” replies. Makes sense.
And what you state about slavery is spot on. Americans abolished it and that’s the important part. Like everything else, we work for positive change.
And I’m a federal employee so I agree with you about bureaucracy—a simple decision takes years. I’ve learned to just go ahead and take action without permission and even when forbidden to. In the short term I get rebuked and my supervisors act horrified, but in the long term the action proves effective and I’m forgiven and rewarded.
Austin TX? Charlotte NC? Flagstaff AZ? I’d guess anywhere a lot of Californians have recently moved to. At first the city thrives but then after the Californians change the laws the city becomes full of bums and used needles and poop like SF.
“I’ve found in my own experience that the boomer version of this kind of elite is sometimes great to work with, but the millennial version is as close of communist apparatchik as I’ve ever seen.”
Your entire post is great. It is reassuring to see others out there using the leftists “principles” (e.g. diversity) against them in a passive resistance.
The millennials with university degrees is a problem. It is apparent to me that many were indoctrinated. Maybe far too many. In a very recent conversation I was informed (really accused) that I was a racist because I purportedly received the benefits of systemic racism that continues to permeate our institutions and I am allowing it to continue.*** I did not respond immediately but asked more questions for proof until she got to a point that she could not sustain her argument. Apparently, despite her indoctrination, she still has the ability to follow logic when challenged, but she did all the talking. She became very angry and immediately walked away.
This is a far cry from when I went to college for the first time more than 40 years ago. We met people from all different backgrounds, beliefs, experiences and opinions. We learned how to think, discuss, agreed on fundamental principles (e.g. one never changes the rules while a game is being played, ends does not justify the means), and live with differences, and even exist in a world where there were some very radical, crazy people, most of whom were not prone to violence or property destruction.
But back then thinking people far outnumbered the radicalized. Today, the numbers of radicalized may be a critical mass and their belief that violence and property destruction, and control of thought and speech is acceptable in our society (ends justify the means but only for leftists) is quite disturbing. The fact that our institutions (colleges, corporations, media, government) have been quietly (now openly) implementing the thought and speech controls is also ominous. If this radicalizing and destruction of the USA cannot be turned back through debate, upholding the rule of law, and legal elections, the fight back will go down a road where violence very well become how this will be “settled”.
***BTW - It is further being asserted today that to question, debate or argue about this systemic race theory proposition is evidence of a person being a racist. Another attempt to control what is being said and thought.
I have family in Northern California. Great folks.
I have family in Upstate NY. Bigger rednecks than I am.
But you are right about cities.
I am happy to people are lashing back at his condescension.
Yes, there has been a dangerous precedent being set regarding this ‘expert class.’
Experts only live in blue cities. If you want to be an expert you have to live in a blue state.
“The “experts” need to get out of their bubble before it collapses and kills them.”
Let it collapse on them. In fact I propose we help the collapse along in any way we can.
I’ve had it with this people.

That sums people like Brooks up quite well.
