The political machine of the GOP needs to keep people involved in political process as opposed to other methods and means alluded to in various posts in this thread.
In other words they want to keep you away from your ammo boxes.

The Republicans, the “Conservative Movement”, the talk show hosts their phony baloney propaganda and emotional campaigns about getting those justices on the Supreme Court just blew up in our faces.
