Um. One of the largest medical systems in the U.S. will NOT require its 89K employees to get the Covid vaccine due to "general uncertainty" around such a new treatment.
Well that's weird.
The gigantic University of Pittsburgh Medical Center — one of the top health care systems in the U.S. — will NOT require its 89,000 employees to get the Covid-19 vaccine.
This despite requiring all of them to get the flu vaccine every year.
The reason? PennLive explains:
The main reason is general uncertainty about the COVID-19 vaccine -- the first of several vaccines in the pipeline could receive emergency approval from the U.S. government this month, possibly within days. UPMC is preparing to begin offering COVID-19 vaccine to front-line health care workers as soon as this month.Dr. Graham Snyder, UPMC's medical director of infection prevention and hospital epidemiology, said UPMC's mandatory flu vaccination policy "is based on decades of experience with the influenza vaccine."
But there's no comparable data for a COVID-19 vaccine, or on whether a mandate is the best way to get large numbers of people to become vaccinated, Snyder said on Tuesday.
I will never take it. I trust my immune system much more than I trust big Pharma (big gov.)...

I just figured out why old people are so cantankerous: We can afford to be. I can retire any time I want. The day my company requires me to take this vaccine is the day I retire - at the latest.

I am sure these large hospital systems with a lot of employed physicians are being told HELL NO by the physicians being forced to take this Jab. The Administration can bully everyone else, but they don’t want to lose the ones who admit and treat patients.
There is absolutely no reason to take this inoculation now or ever.
One of the vaccines caused Bell’s Palsy at a disproportionately high rate.
Other vaccine trials are showing 10-15% getting very sick from the vaccine, a rate higher than the virus.

Actually, I hope my company DOES force it. I can refuse and take a bunch of unemployment rather than just retire cold turkey.
Their lawyers are aware of the potential liability
if they require the employees to take the vaccine
as a condition of employment, and something goes wrong.
Has there ever been a successful SARS vaccine on this planet? I thought Taiwan attempted one some years ago, but after seeing a sizeable number of children die after taking it, stopped their forced vaccine. Yeah, times change and medicine addresses, but I’m not convinced they’ll come up with a vaccine that lasts. Taking multiple shots of a COVID-19 over time is like playing Russian Roulette where the gun has one bullet in a chamber. At some point, pulling the trigger would be a mistake.
My wife is on a vaccine distribution call right now for her Health System.
They are not making it mandatory either. They are not getting enough for “everyone” right off the bat, so they figure it people want it—they are first in line.
Plus the hospital is segregated by building so there are people with very little risk of exposure.
I was surprised because the flu vaccine IS mandatory.
Never, for an illness with high survivability and very effective natural AND conventional therapies (and combinations thereof).

To protect against a virus with a 99% survivability rate, we’re going to be encouraged to take a vaccine with a 95% effectiveness rate—of merely reducing severity of some symptoms—with noted, significant side effects...
I’ll take my chances with the virus.
It will still be an unapproved drug meaning its experimental.
All they are approving is an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
In my view that is not being conveyed to the public who are nothing more than lab rats in this instance.
I think there should be some legal exposure to anyone that mandates taking it as a condition of employment if it causes any debilitating vaccine induced injury.

I concur, but they are going to use economic threats to force people to be vaccinated. At my daughters company has a very liberal VP who has already made comments on turning down the vaccine and returning to work. Luckily, my daughter falls into a group that will not get vaccinated until the middle of 2021. She is going to claim religious exemption if they try and force the issue. Oddly enough, Millennials, GenZ and Baby Boomers finally agree on something. 50% of us don't trust this stuff. Especially since Gates and his wife endorsed it. If I read correctly, there are some standards vaccines like the flu vaccine currently in trials. There were some veiled threats made recently about access to military facilities if you are not vaccinated. Retirees like myself get our medications at the Naval Hospital. I will just pay the $5 co-pay if that happens.
The stuff is so safe the UK they require a crash cart present when the vaccine is given. Bill Clinton, Bush and Obama have all said they will get the vaccine publicly to reassure us. What f’ing hubris those pricks have. Combined they would be lucky to find a third of the citizenry in this country that actually trust or respects any of those men. All three have very large butchers bills awaiting them for the men and women they sent to their deaths for political reasons.
