In essence, they will kick the issue of appointing electors back to the state legislatures.

And the state legislatures will promptly re-elect the Biden electors, saying they have no basis to do otherwise.

Thus ending their political career.

Thanks for posting the list. Ohio's is good, they see the merits of the case and want the court to take it up and rule on it. They don't support either party but they want a decision.

I understand the SCOTUS desire not to take up the case. But anyone the least bit curious has plenty places to go to understand the allegations of widespread fraud, and the plaintiff states with the Trump team are prepared to prove it given opportunity. This amounts to many states with righteous cause suing to protect the interests of their citizens who acted in good faith versus states acting to preserve the fraudulent actions of states and officials. Would the SCOTUS seriously choose to thumb their noses at those who behaved within the law and in good faith?

What incentive would either side then have to act in good faith if SCOTUS votes to preserve the fraud? Anarchy would soon prevail perpetrated by BOTH sides. If the members of SCOTUS think about it just a little bit, from a practical perspective, they have no choice but to rule in favor of the plaintiff states. Otherwise, all hell breaks loose from BOTH sides.

I think the court will try for 9-0 for something. I don't think they'll get 9-0 to overturn sny elections so it will probably be 9-0 to effectively dismiss the case.

I agree. Ohio just wants an answer as to whether state courts and state executive actors violate the Electors Clause when they change the rules by which presidential elections are run. Maybe that is to simple, but it really does sum up the problem.

I think Turley had better re think that. I listened to him saying that and although his points are well taken, what will happen is the lid will blow off the whole thing and THERE WILL CEASE TO BE a SCOTUS OR a USA any longer.

In case of them NOT taking it..
The only recourse left to the states is to go back to the declaration of independence and do what it spells out in that document.

I see secession as the only recourse.

Easier to move Biden out of the White House if he doesn’t move in.

Well, if Guam is involved, we’ve truly reached the tipping point.

I see what you did there....

I know what you mean. I became a paralegal late in the game (39). The law has always fascinated me too.

Breaks my heart to see what is happening to our country. I am praying the USSC comes through.

The city of Detroit has now filed. source

Plaintiff makes very few “factual” allegations relating to Michigan, with all allegations of supposed fraud arising from debunked claims about the processing and tabulation of absent voter ballots by the City of Detroit (the “City”) in Hall E of the TCF Center, a convention center in downtown Detroit.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. I believe our country is too far gone for anything to stop the Democrats from stealing the election. It’s going to be a bloodbath of retaliation that will effectively be the death of our country. The left will go scorched earth to ensure that they never lose power. As for me, I bought a generator several months ago, ham radio equipment, and ammo.

Any word on the island joining the lawsuit in favor of one party or another? I see the other territories are going for the defendants.
