in light of Dominion, we can’t assume people “voted” for this...as a matter of fact, I’ll bet most did not vote for this, and haven’t had an ability to vote for a couple of decades.

I used to hold that sentiment. Now I am less certain that voters have that much say in affairs.

"The people who vote do not matter. The people who count the votes are the ones who matter".

In any case, the residents are not going to vote their way out of this problem.
