Given WB move to HBOMax I’m not sure “thriving” is the right word here.
Whoever wrote this article....would appear to me to be on drugs. The movie industry is in serious trouble, and some of those movies that were slated for release back in the summer or for this holiday season....have been pushed back to summer 2021 for release. I don’t think anyone is that excited about the movie release market, and production is probably running at half-the-rate that it was in 2019.
The “stars” will not be paid as well as before. If you are on a hit show that is on for years you can make millions but a 1 off show let alone a movie the price will be a lot lower then before. No more $20 million paychecks for movie stars.
