Nothing Roberts does will stop the Democrats from packing the Court to 13 Justices if the Dems take the Senate and the Presidency.

They will hear the case.

maybe that’s what he wants. He’d be over 12 other judges.

They won’t have to pack it with 13 judges. If they do win and take the White House, they’ll control everything. They’ll impeach Barrett, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, at least. By then Thomas will retire and that leaves Alito. He wouldn’t last long. And, even if he did stick it out, it’d be an 8-1 court and just a matter of time before it’s 9-0. And that’s the way it will be forever, unless the people do something about it.
