The House is poised to pass the annual defense authorization bill Tuesday, throwing down the first of two gauntlets before President Trump, who has threatened repeatedly to scuttle the $741 billion legislation.
The only question is whether the bipartisan legislation will earn enough votes to override the president’s promised veto — and whether the Senate will follow suit. Over the summer, both the House and Senate passed independent versions of the defense bill by veto-proof majorities. But on Tuesday morning, the House Freedom Caucus, a group of about 37 conservative Republicans, announced that it would vote against the bill in favor of backing Trump — a move that threatens to make the bill fall just short of the support it needs to withstand any veto.
GOP congressional leaders have pleaded with their members in recent days to ignore the president’s demands, and vote in favor of the defense bill, which has become law for 59 years running. The legislation includes money not only for major military programs and weapons systems, it also funds service members’ annual pay raises and other compensation intended to reward highly specialized or potentially hazardous work.

A No vote now unless Section 230 termination included, else the pressure of No vote for veto later. Seems smarter to vote No now, get the wording fixed and then everyone vote yes to end Section 230 and fund the DoD.
Yes, Mumbai Mike is good name for the traitor. I guess I misunderstood as I thought the Senate already unanimously passed his sell-out of American workers. What did they approve then and status in house, etc.
37 Republicans in Congress, boy we have a lot of work to do.
They already passed the “Make India Great Again” bill. Trump is expected to veto it.
So Mumbai Mike is inserting it into all bills, like defense reauthorization and continuing funding resolutions to force Trump to sign it.
I am suspicious if he will veto it. Consider that he has talked well, but then let his staff and administration to judo the opposite over and over again.

If he doesn’t, he lost all remaining support with the middle class, as he would be just as traitorous as those that passed the bill.
The American middle class better get used to the part-time manual labor minimum wage starter jobs that are available, including huge, huge losses of income and real poverty.
