Remember Jamie Raskin? The radical East Coast liberal that Cindy Axne gave her vote to? Well, he’s back.
After voting on behalf of Iowa’s third congressional district while Cindy Axne was too busy to come to work, Raskin is apparently still hungry to insert himself in the business of Iowans.
It was revealed recently that Raskin, a liberal Democrat from Maryland, is expected to be tapped to run point on the Nancy Pelosi-led House administration committee tasked with reviewing the results of Iowa’s second congressional race.
Republican state senator Mariannette Miller-Meeks defeated Rita Hart. Hart requested a recount but still came up short. The bipartisan state canvassing board officially certified Miller-Meeks the winner on November 30th.
Hart, still unsatisfied, wasn’t done yet. After the certification was official, she still had the option of presenting her case to a tribunal of Iowa judges, but she decided to take a different approach: A purely political one. She went to the beacon of truth and integrity we all know, Nancy Pelosi and her democratically run House of Representatives to overturn the will of the voters of Iowa’s second congressional district.

Once again, the cheat is on.

Note that the Rats don’t hold back using every lever to overturn elections.
Those who are criticizing Trump for doing the same thing maybe should pay attention.
If the house democrats refuse to seat a republican congressperson who is certified as the winner by the state, and if one or both democrats “win” the Senate runoffs in Georgia, can the Senate republicans refuse to seat those certified winners?
Maybe. Laws are rules are only valid for those who can force others to follow them.
As an aside, we are at the end stage of the Republic. The next stage is either collapse or Imperial.
Either one is messy.
The Presidency was already somewhat "kingly," with Obozo we got a proliferation of imperial edicts and with Biteme they're already calling for more.
Trump could call for a massive "donative," err, I mean "bonus" for active-duty troops and use them to "persuade" recognition of his reelection. Then the transformation would be complete.
We're just likely to get a filthy little oligarchy covering itself with intersectional fig-leaves without even any imperial grandeur.
The Roman Empire has been a passion of mine since college.
Many opine “How great is it for ONE MAN to make the decisions! Limit the corruption, be nimble, and cut out all the red tape!”
Of course, it led to a civil war ever 10 years or so, oppression, and the killing of the capable in order to support the non working class. By the end of it all, people welcomed the fall because it gave them more peace and less taxes.

Growth phase, lag phase, followed by decay and destruction. Then the next thing arises.
I used to think we were in the lag phase of the Republican form of government. We are near the tipping point of the decline. The two general paths are for a more highly centralized government (Imperial) or a dissolution (what happened to the USSR).
But right now, there is one party willing to lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want and another that will let. Meanwhile the nations on the interior are marginalized and exploited. That does not last.
Son of long-time lefty Marcus Raskin.
Two of my favorite books say we’re heading for dissolution.
The Rise and Decline of the State by Martin Van Creveld
The Sovereign Individual by Rees-Mogg and Davidson
I wish leftists would stop breeding.
