FDA Says Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Is Safe and Effective, Approval Coming in Days

The Food and Drug Administration says that Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective. Their analysis finds “no specific safety concerns identified that would preclude issuance of an [emergency use authorization].” FDA approval of the vaccine is expected within days.

President Trump has praised the unprecedented speed at which vaccine development has occurred with the assistance of his administration. “No medical breakthrough of this scope and magnitude has ever been achieved this rapidly, this quickly. And we’re very proud of it,” Trump said during remarks at the Rose Garden back in November. “Operation Warp Speed is unequaled and unrivaled anywhere in the world, and leaders of other countries have called me to congratulate us on what we’ve been able to do, and we’ve helped many countries with their ventilators and all of the problems they were having.”

There are some side effects from Pfizer’s vaccine, but serious reactions were rare. A majority of volunteers in the vaccine study experience reactions at the injection site of the vaccine, as well as headaches and fatigue.

The data suggests that the vaccine is 95 percent effective after two doses, taken 21 days apart. The vaccine is 82 percent effective after the first dose.

President Trump is expected to sign an executive order on Tuesday prioritizing the delivery of the vaccine to Americans over other countries as a “reaffirmation of the president’s commitment to America First.”

We also have a pretty solid data set on the vaccine as well. It’s highly effective and major side effects are very rare. It’s been tested on tens of thousands of people. If it were unsafe, there should have been a significant number of test subjects having serious issues.

And long term after the multiple injections that are required?

You can guarantee that?

Thanks, but no thanks. I don't trust a single thing about this pandemic as far as anything the government or pharmaceutical industry is telling us.

They have been lying to us and jerking us around for too long for nothing even close to being related to health concerns, no matter how much they tell us they are concerned for our health.

They are not concerned for our health. They are concerned about trying to figure out how to control us and oust Trump.

Pfizer is the vaccine that the former VP of Pfizer warned was targeting a protein that could result in Female sterilization.

When COVID first hit, one of the concerns about the virus is the effect it had on men's fertility.

That tidbit of information seems hot have been lost in the last few months of hysteria, but there's no reason to think that the vaccine could not do the same thing for men or women.

We all know how Gates et al is pushing population reduction. He's got his grimy, greedy paws all over this COVID and vaccine.

He can keep it.

This vaccine hasn’t been tested long enough to know what impact it will have on pregnant women and the baby.

Thanks for volunteering to be one of the earliest to take it. Please inform everyone after you are vaccinated via a post in FR. APPRECIATE IT!

That should be investigated.

But we can have people social distance from women who are pregnant and still end the lock downs. Once there is wide distribution of these different vaccines, that will be the biggest reason to believe that Covid has been beaten.

It could have been approved 2 months ago, which would have probably slowed the Chinus case rates.

It’s been tested on tens of thousands of people.

How did you come up with those numbers, amazing? If you like what you see, by all means go get it.

So tell me FDA. If Pfizer and/or others can research, develop, and test a new drug, new vaccine in a matter of weeks and you can review, test, and approve it just as quickly ... why has it historically taken many years, sometimes a decade or more?

When the Feds front load billions into the drug dealers pipeline, they can afford to pay off the FDA, even if a coupla thousand 'mericans go ace/deuce and sue like hell.

This whole thing isn't about drugs or a virus, it's about gummint control and making the sheep feel like they are cold, on an 88 degree day in July, and VOLUNTARILY putting on a woolen blanket.

Baaaaaaaa.

Most of the people who are at high risk from COVID are over 60. I don’t think sterilization is something they worry about.

I’m waiting for the vaccine that helps one lose weight. :-)

Umm there were 30000 subjects in the Moderna study. That’s publicly released data. If the vaccine were more dangerous than Covid, we’d have seen at least 100 or so deaths from that group. Nobody died, so it’s highly likely that taking the vaccine is less dangerous than getting COVID, which is the relevant comparison. Nothing is 100% safe.

And long term after recovering from COVID? You can guarantee that there won’t be serious, harmful effects on your health from a COVID infection? It’s up to each individual to assess the risks, bout we tend to forget that there is significant risk involved with not getting vaccinated. It’s not risky vaccine vs. perfect safety if you don’t get it. It’s vaccine with a fairly low likelihood of risk vs. possible infection by a potentially lethal virus with unknown potential long term negative effects on your health. It’s your choice of course, but just don’t discount the risks invowith not getting vaccinated. This isn’t a no-brainer like some would have you believe.

Yeh I think I’ll just take HCQ, zinc ad a Z-pak if I get it. My best friends two sons called from college friday night that the one’s girlfriend had covid. So she had them both come straight home (a 45 minute drive) and had them walk straight through to the basement where they are quarantined. She leaves their food by the door. They have both come down with it and its like a head cold. They aren’t that sick and just doing over the counter meds.

If it were something like tetanus or small pox with an extremely high mortality rate, you’d have a point.

It’s not.

Some things are just not worth vaccinating over.

The vaccine lasts how long? Nobody knows, so back to the dr every few months for a booster. What a pipe dream for the pharm companies.

And when the virus mutates and the vaccine isn’t effective any more. Then what?

Time for a new vaccine and more trips for vaccination.

And you can guarantee that nobody is adding stuff to the vaccine that nobody wants? there’s no precedent for that is there?

What a racket.
