This is actually a nice middle-class area, as evidenced that she had not previously had a break-in in 50 years. My sister lives just 5 or 6 blocks south of this house, right by Lake Nokomis. Very nice area. I visit my sister and her husband once/year and have walked over to this area as I walk around Lake Hiawatha and the Hiawatha Country Club. Such a shame.
It is sad that a 80 something senior citizen can not feel safe in her home.
