I live in Florida. Rural area on a farm. Very small town several miles away.

We don't see any of this stuff I read about in New York and California and other states down here.

First off, I've never worn a mask. Or social distanced. Or locked down.

For a few months last summer around here there were people who wore masks and still are but many people don't wear them anymore. The signs on a few stores in town say masks are required per county commissioners' orders but nobody has ever enforced that requirement with me. I just go in without a mask and no one has ever said a word. I notice the local Subway sandwich joint has changed their sign to read, "Face coverings are requested." A little softer, more customer friendly approach.

Maybe it is because it is a small town. The big city is 35+ miles away and it may be more demanding but I seldom go there. I visited four businesses up north of here about 25 miles away last week in a medium sized town and few people were wearing masks. I had two flat tires on a trailer and nobody in the tire store or the car dealership that helped me had masks on. The Taco Bell I ate at while waiting had a masks are required sign on the door but nobody said anything about a mask when I walked in, ordered and sat down and ate lunch. And nor did Walmart when I went in there to pick up a few items. Some people were wearing masks but no one stopped me at the door.

Or maybe people feel that since the governor here is not being a hard ass dictator like some places I read about, that people figure they can assess their own risks and go about their lives without feeling like they are in Soviet Russia.

It feels like normal around here again. I pity the poor people in these blue states where the governors and mayors are practicing for their time in the limelight to be punk tyrants when the commies take office.

Don’t pity us if we don’t fight back.

And we are!! That pub owner has gotten arrested twice for keeping his pub open on Staten Island.

Big rallies for him.

Big donations.

Staten Island is by far the most conservative borough and we are SICK of all of it.

But it sounds so beautiful and peaceful where you live.

I HAVE been to brooklyn and seen the blm/antifa “rallies”

Very dangerous things.

I don’t go to brooklyn anymore unless I have to.

Honest, things are quiet on Staten Island and i’m saving a fortune from things being closed.

But that doesn’t make it right!!

I’m ready to dance.

I’ve had it

Nuremberg Defense. It ultimately will not work. Someone would sue the Sheriffs for sure instead of Newsom. It works when you use a constitutional defense, but unfortunately, will likely have to be adjudicated in court. Having served in the military, we understood the difference between a lawful and unlawful order. Whatever decision you make has to be decided in court - in the case of military, a court martial. If you are right, the illegal lawbreaker gets the penalty. If you are wrong, you are convicted. Every one of these sheriffs have to give a binding oath to the Constitution. In my opinion.

Whatever decision you make has to be decided in court ...

The Courts are corrupted. They will mostly decide in favor of the Rulers rather than any Law that might restrain the Rulers.

Our Rulers are tending to be insane sociopaths.

This turns out - badly.

I don’t have a problem with a person running a business asking me to put a mask on in their store or place of business, their property, their rules.

Otherwise NO MASKS, f#ck’em, when I am out and about I refuse to wear a face diaper.

Fortunately most businesses I go into think about it the same way I do, there is no point at all in looking like the “FRITO BANDITO”!

About 99% of the masks I see worn are worthless for a virus. Very few wear them right anyway.

I get a lot of stares for not wearing a mask or are they dirty stares cause I wear a Trump shirt?

Nurses at the hospital are required to wear the same mask for several days.??????????

If the masks stopped the virus why aren’t there HazMat cans outside the stores?
