To say the president supports the H1B bill is to impugn him. The bill is still in Congress and has not gone to the president. The 10 day veto period does not start until the bill is on his desk. If Trump has shown us anything in the last 4 years, he has shown us how he feels about the H1B program. In fact, only 2 months ago he signed an executive order with further H1B restrictions.

News reports say there are enough votes to override a VETO. Not much POTUS can do about it.
