Right now the director’s making the cameraman toss his device around while everyone pretends to be thrown this way and that and the dramatic music plays. We have to put up with Smith’s incessant “Oh, dear dear me! Whatever shall become of me now! We’re doomed!” for just a while longer; ‘til the crisis passes.
The Netflix reboot has a female Dr. Smith, btw. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Cherub-faced Will with some real acting ability. Black Julie. Robot’s not as much fun, though it no longer looks like a vacuum cleaner. But there’s no replacing Zachary Taylor.
