U.S. President Donald Trump’s campaign paid nearly $9 million in its so-far unsuccessful bid to overturn the results of the presidential election, including nearly $2.3 million to lawyers and consultants who helped bring a series of longshot court cases.
Jenna Ellis, 36, the attorney who has been one of the most prominent faces of the Trump legal and public relations blitz, was paid $30,000 in November, according to a report the campaign filed with the Federal Election Commission late Thursday.
In October, Ellis, a senior legal adviser to the campaign, was paid $138,258, according to a previous filing...
Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal attorney who has spearheaded the campaign’s post-election legal efforts, does not appear in the disclosures.
The legal effort has been a powerful fundraising tool. Trump’s campaign reported that it had raised more than $207 million since the election.

And?
So what? It’s a minuscule fraction of what the huge deep state paid including Facebook, Zuckerberg, Twitter, Google, etc. Much of what they did was in-kind contributions that were literally priceless. Stifling conservative pro-Trump speech, burying stories of Biden corruption and his being owned by China, Zuckerberg’s $400 million investment in stealing the election and on and on.
For that kind of money I would have expected better results.
Facts without context are meaningless.
I believe it. You ever had to hire a lawyer?
Exactly. Trying to drive a wedge here. At best we’re only half way through this.
Nothing is ever good enough for some Freeps.
How much did the Biden campaign spend on recount/contest lawyers before the vote even started?
Lawyers are expensive. I won’t say they earn it so much as lawyers spend a lot of money to become lawyers because lawyers make a lot of money...
And in spite of the general perception of lawyers as slimy lowlifes, most lawyers are decent folks.
Big whoop.
A nothing burger El Rueters smear piece.
They should have spent that money to buy judges...that’s what Democrats do.
Whatever it takes. I draw the line on giving money to 2 Georgia senators. I just can’t get into it no matter the stake. Lou Dobbs put it best yesterday.
I’d like to contribute if I could be SURE none of my money would go elsewhere and especially that it would NOT go to the RNC
Nothing more. Raising $210M for legal defense and spending $10M of it is good business and a sign of a good political operation.
I think the legal campaign has been exceptionally successful for its intended purpose.
"The legal effort has been a powerful fundraising tool. Trump’s campaign reported that it had raised more than $207 million since the election."
Winning in court takes money and this money on lawyers has been well spent.
Wouldn’t have had to spend any $$$ if Elections weren’t FRAUDULENT! !!
Trump was outspent 2:1 in this “election”.
Tom Steyer and Mike Bloomberg contributed something around $1.4B alone, about half of all contributions.
And yet he won, running a well executed brilliant campaign.
And they’re trying to do what, say he’s spending profligately, lawyers rolling in cash?
Lemme know when they go after Mark Elias or Perkins Boie.
Didn’t see Dobbs, but feel the same about the election.
