If you host a Christmas party in Aberdeen, Mississippi you could wind up on the police department’s naughty list -- or worse.
The Aberdeen Police Department announced in a shocking Facebook post that they will enforce a mandate from the governor’s office regarding China Virus rules and regulations.
"If you scheduled events please start making provisions to cancel them if they are going to be on the inside," the police department announced. "Please don’t try and figure out how you can get around it because the fine will take the majority of your profit."
Starting Monday – a curfew goes into effect. That should make it a bit difficult for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
And whatever you do, don't give the cops an attitude. Cussing, by the way, is also a no-no.
"Attitudes and cussing will be giving a citation for disorderly conduct and possibly a vehicle being towed so heed the warning," they wrote.
Oh, and be forewarned about the number of folks hunkered around the yule log.
"As far as Christmas parties, pop-up shops, card games, any social gatherings that exceed 10 people, we will be writing the tickets. We ask that you follow the mandate," the police department wrote on its Facebook page.
They say rules will be enforced and so will the financial penalties. Anyone who fails to pay 100 percent of their fines will be served with a warrant.
The brown shirts in the police department also warned citizens not to complain to the mayor or city council.
"Don’t call the Mayor or city councilman/ ladies, they can’t help you. We just want a safe and productive city. We appreciate everything you all can do to help us on this matter," they wrote.
Hundreds of shocked and enraged citizens wrote angry messages on the police department's Facebook page.
"This is a disgrace that this is happening in Mississippi," one irate resident wrote. "I’m pro-police. I back the blue. Until you overstep your boundaries. And this post is blatant tyranny. If you want citizens' support, I’d suggest more professionalism and knowledge on the law."
"Sounds like 1984 came true. Complete abuse of power," wrote another resident.
Someone should tell the jack-booted thugs at the Aberdeen Police Department that there’s a fine line between being a Grinch and being a tyrant.
So if you have 9 kids and a spouse, you have to decide which one you love the least?
When are the cops going to start telling these fascists to go pound tar? We’re the ones who support them. Their overlords allow the riots to continue, tie the cops hands, and send them out to get injured night after night. Then, God forbid, someone gets killed while being arrested, the cop is immediately charged with murder before the evidence is even reviewed. If you’re a peace officer please stop enforcing these draconian edicts. Please join us and BE an American.

So, Aberdeen is now in a police state.
Police are subsuming city council’s role.
Police are telling citizens who they are not allowed to talk to.
Police are dictating citizens’s behavior (citizens that they serve and who pay police wages).
Police just showed their true colors (and they’re NOT red, white and blue).
What is that police chief there? Without knowing yet, I guess a D’rat black woman.
You would expect this in the Peoples Republic of NY/NJ, but Mississippi?
America, we hardly knew ye.
Notice how quickly elected officials go from zero to fascist.
I dunno...
Maybe de-funding some P.D.s isn’t such a bad idea after all.

For the millionth time - COPS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS! Can we all just stop the knee jerk support for them on FR? They will kill you and your family without hesitation to maintain a paycheck and benefits. 75% would probably be violent criminals if they couldn’t be police. They are not “heroes”, they are paid enforcers to the highest bidder.
Do we suppose Henry’s enjoying pushing around all the whiteys?

My base nature tends to agree with you, but the angel on the other shoulder keeps telling me that cops are people too. Perhaps we need to start an oath taker project for domestic cops.
I would tend to agree. The police are people that filled out an application. Sheriffs are elected. Big difference. I know of many kids in HS that became police simply because they wanted revenge for countless wedgies.
