Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe to abolish the Electoral College you would need a Constitutional Amendment. Two-thirds of both houses of Congress, then three-fourths of the state legislatures. That’s 38 states that would have to approve it.
What is Rush talking about with the Democrats simply getting rid of the Electoral College? I don’t believe they can do that.
They are working to circumvent that process by passing state laws that mandate the EVs be cast for the national vote winner.
